A Woman’s thought...
In recent past, a lot of incidents have been reported in India which has left people of the country and especially women apprehensive about their safety. Personal safety has become a major issue and a point of concern for everyone but in particular for women. Today, we speak about equality and morality, also we celebrate our independence so proudly but down the line women in India are still treated as slaves and are not completely free and independent. They are beaten, raped, asked for dowries and harassed by our own countrymen.
The sad reality is that even today some men feel extremely ashamed of working in kitchen or helping women in washing clothes just because they are men and this trivial work is not meant for them. It’s time to offer our mind’s a broader view of looking at things. It’s time to stand up for what is right and correct the wrong that has ruined the past and is continuing to ruin the present. In order to make a safer and sounder future for our newer generations, mere orthodox thinking, belief and judgment is not what will bring a positive change. We as the proud citizens of India should try and make India a better and enhanced place to live in by amending the old beliefs and giving it a broader vision by encompassing the safety of every citizen as its priority and by sharing the duties which alone women have been performing since an era.
Times are changing and it is imperative to curb the backward and erroneous thinking of people which has compelled women to accept the conventional laws set of them which are false and manipulative. To halt the wrong and immoral traditions that have been prevailing, everyone needs to contribute their share of positive understanding and ways to undo the false that has been done and to craft the ideal utopia that women have been aspiring for since ages. Let’s make an endeavour to form such a place where your mothers, daughters and wives will no longer fear every second and will not live in terror throughout their lives.
